ALTAR WARD

The Emmanuel Episcopal Altar Ward is a dedicated group of people who work behind the scenes to set the stage for worship services.

Our mission is to maintain the sacred spaces and to assist in making services meaningful, beautiful and welcoming.

We meet in teams on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings to perform our duties which include; changing candles and linens, polishing brass, preparing the readings for the lectors, and taking care of altar flowers.

We set up for services on Sundays, Thursdays and assist for funerals, baptisms and weddings.
