Emmanuel is blessed by works of a number of other notable artists.
The English Pre-Raphaelite artist Henry Holiday made Jesus with Mary of Bethany in the late 19th Century. This is one of only three places in the United States where his work may be seen.
Charles Goodhue of Cambridge, MA executed St. Monica and St. Augustine in the medieval French Gothic style.
McGill Mackall, who was very popular as both an artist and teacher in the mid-20th Century made several windows for Emmanuel, including the one in the Cloister that greets all who come to visit or to worship.
At the back of the Church are several imaginative windows from the late 1960’s celebrating Cumberland’s industrial life and the works of nature that surround the area.
The oldest piece of stained glass is a painted window dating from 1883 depicting St. John and St. Paul.
Emmanuel offers visitors a self-guided tour of the art and artwork. For the text of this brochure, click on Church Windows.
